Spellings and Homework (10/11/17)

Thankyou so much for all the beautiful home learning that was done over the last week. They are all well-prepared to write their instructions and seem very enthused to do so.  Children should now refer back to their home learning grid for their homework activities.  They will be given a new home learning grid after Christmas (Spring Term 1).  Children have a new set of spellings now which should have gone out on Wednesday but I was on a course - apologies). You can find the new sets of spellings below: Roald Dahl and JK Rowing (adding -er to a root word, doubling the last letter when necessary): hot low wet sad  old  Michael Morpurgo, Jacqueline Wilson and Dr Suess (root words + -er suffix): hotter lower wetter sadder older Alternative Spelling Set 1: a I him her ther Alternative Spelling Set 2: we he she and but Homework Due Date: Wednesday 15th November  Spelling Test Date: Wednesday 15th November ...

Just a reminder that the children's homework this week is to do something that will allow them to write a set of instructions in class.  This can be anything like: baking a cake helping cook a meal brushing their teeth scoring a goald Children do not have to write the instructions in their homework book but can if they would like to. It would be nice to have a picture of them carrying out this activity stuck in their homework books.  Their spellings are: MM, JK and RD: 1.      Continue 2.      Consider 3.      Complete 4.      Circle 5.      Certain Dr S and JW 1.      Come 2.      Some 3.      Here 4.      Once 5.      One
