This Week In Hercules Class

We have written the blog this week as a class.  It's been another spectacular week in Hercules Class. We have been looking at bar graphs in maths. We collected data using tally charts, making up our own closed questions. We then drew our own bar graphs and have even vocabulary like axis. and mini plays about travelling back in time to Ancient Egypt, ready to write our newspaper reports next week. We have even been doing Ancient Egyptian dances in PE. This Week In Hercules

What another crazy, crazy week in Hercules Class! Where do I begin?  First of all, we have revisited class rules and put a positive spin on things! As a class we rose some issues and there were three main things that arose as areas of disrespect. So in light of this we have written some new class rules. The children are really excited about these and have been creating posters.  Our new class rules are: We will treat others as we would like to be treated. We will respect what other people are saying.  We will be kind and caring towards others.  We will respect other people's property and be responsible for our own. If these are reinforced at home then they will become second nature to children in the classroom, and in turn, will create an even more amazing environment during learning time.  This week's focus in maths has been money, children have learnt how to count money, take away and add money as well as justifying it's value.
