This Week In Hercules Class

We have been continuing our learning about the Earth. We wrote about the Northern and Southern Hemisphere as well as the equator and gave examples of countries (e.g. in the Northern Hemisphere you would find USA, Canada and Croatia). This week we watched the film of Journey to the Centre of the Earth and have started to think about the similarities and differences between the book and the film. In maths we have started a new topic: right angles. This Week In Hercules

We've had a nice calm week back since our half term break. We have all picked a country for the World Cup who we will follow through the tournament. We have done some revision in English this week and next week will compare Axel and Professor Liedenbrock from our class book Journey to the Centre of the Earth.  We have carried on with time this week in maths and today we looked at Roman Numerals. Next week, we will have to try and tell the time with clocks that have Roman Numerals on them. In maths, I managed to get to the end of 'do it' and I finished 'reason it' too - Stanley. I loved maths this week, because it kept getting harder but I still got to challenge each time - Will.
