What's happened this week?
This blog was written by all of us in Hercules!
In English this week we have created our own characters for our stories which we will be writing next week. We have sketched them and described their personality and their appearance. Also, we have looked at adjectives that add meaning.
e.g. The wet water is not meaningful.
"It is not meaningful because you would expect water to be wet" - Erin
In Maths we have been learning about fractions. We have been adding fractions with the same denominator, as well as building our own fraction walls and ordering them from smallest to biggest too.
We have also played our recorders to Year 4 and in PE we are learning new styles of dance. As well as this we have been continuing with our topic on Ancient Egypt.
I loved dance because it was fun - Ana
I loved playing recorders to Year 4 because it was exciting - Sophie C
I liked doing English this week because we got to describe personalities - Louis
I liked doing maths this week because it challenged me - Flo
I enjoyed playing recorders in front of Year 4 - Jersey.
I enjoyed English because we made our own characters to put in our Ancient Egypt story - Harvey
I liked playing the recorders in front of Year 4 but I was a bit nervous - Isabelle
I liked maths because fractions are one of my dream things and I really love them - Dominik
I loved adding fractions in maths because I found it really fun - Will
I liked English because I liked drawing my character - Henry
I liked maths when we were doing the fraction wall - Oliver
I liked drawing my teddy in English - Tommy
I liked recorders because we are learning a new song - katie
I enjoyed maths because it gets harder each time and that's what I like - Embry
I like maths because I enjoy fractions - Erin
I've enjoyed writing about Ancient Egypt in English - Casimira
I've enjoyed English because I got to think about my character's personality - Lois
I liked maths because ordering fractions was fun - May
I like maths because we draw diagrams and use lots of colour - Doug
I liked everything because we do new things! - Martha
Again... Let's finish with some jokes...

I've got a bone to pick with you!
Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha
Why is velcro so expensive?
Because it's such a rip off!

Have a great weekend! :)
